Apprentice has two kinds of support: community support, open to everyone, and direct support from me for Pro license holders. Which one you get depends on your license.
Community Support
Community support is available to everyone, from people who have not started using Apprentice yet, to Community users, to Pro license holders.
Channels
- Discord to talk with other users.
- GitHub Issues to report bugs.
What It Covers
- Discord is open discussion. Ask anything and talk it through with the community.
- GitHub Issues are for bug reports only.
Response
Community support is the community helping each other. There is no response commitment from me on these channels.
Pro Support
Pro support adds direct support tickets on top of the community channels.
Channels
- Support Tickets for direct help from me.
- Discord and GitHub Issues, the same channels as community support.
What It Covers
Support tickets cover:
- Install and setup help.
- Bug reports.
- Provider and Docker troubleshooting.
- Usage questions.
Support tickets do not cover:
- Custom development.
- Third-party issues that are not directly related to Apprentice.
Response
- Support tickets: I respond within one business day, Monday to Friday. In rare cases this may extend to two or three days, and I will tell you in advance when it does.
- Discord and GitHub Issues: no response commitment, the same as community support.
There are no support tiers. Every Pro ticket gets the same one-business-day target.
Who Can Open Tickets
- Yearly Pro license holders, while their license is active.
- Lifetime Pro license holders, during their first year. This can be extended with an active yearly subscription.
Discord and GitHub Issues stay open to everyone, always, regardless of license.
At A Glance
- Community License: Discord plus GitHub Issues, community-driven, no response commitment.
- Pro License: Support Tickets with a one-business-day target, plus Discord and GitHub Issues.
