Crafting code and dreams in Warsaw

From the bustling cityscapes of Istanbul to the historical heart of Warsaw, my life has been a journey through innovation, culture, and code.

My name is Ilgıt Yıldırım, and I've been building software for over 28 years. My adventure with coding began at 13; a curiosity-fueled dive that quickly became a lifelong passion. In 1997 I wrote my first program, and by February 1998 I launched my first website into the vast, uncharted waters of the World Wide Web. That moment marked the beginning of my professional journey.

Today I balance life as a father of two, a devoted husband, and a creator of digital things. My dedication to software development continues to thrive; whether for work, for fun, or as creative expression. Over the years I've built education platforms serving millions of students, ecommerce systems handling high-traffic loads, fin-tech applications, game platforms, and content portals across every tech stack imaginable.

These days, the way software gets built is changing. AI writes more code than ever, and I find myself helping builders in this new era ship their ideas; handling the infrastructure, reliability, security, and maintenance that turns a prototype into a real product. That experience across decades now goes into the products and services I create.

When silence descends on the house and paternal duties pause, sometimes I venture into virtual galaxies. Star Citizen is my escape - a universe where I fulfill childhood dreams of exploration. Strategy games, RPGs, MMOs, sci-fi books and movies fill whatever free time remains. Every keystroke is a note in the symphony of my life, where technology and imagination merge.
